THE DOCK / HOW WE FISH TOGETHER

Good people. Useful conversations.

Welcome beginners, explain your reasoning, and share what you learned. Be direct about a disagreement and respectful toward the person.

  1. Post the story, not just the result. For a catch report, include the broad water or region, conditions, bait, retrieve and lesson. Exact private spots are optional.
  2. Share photos you own or have permission to publish. Credit the creator and link the original source when appropriate. Avoid revealing someone’s private location or personal information.
  3. Help before you promote. Disclose sponsorships, guide businesses and affiliate connections. No repetitive sales pitches, spam or fake testimonials.
  4. Respect the fish and the water. Discuss legal access, current rules, responsible handling and clean shorelines. Link the relevant authority when stating a rule.
  5. Keep it welcoming. No harassment, threats, hateful attacks, scams or sharing private information without consent. Use the report control or contact the site about a problem.
  6. Earn reputation honestly. Useful topics, replies and received likes build your rank. Do not trade likes, manufacture activity or copy another person’s answer.

Make your first post easy

“I fish from [bank/kayak/boat] in [broad region]. I am learning [technique]. My next question is .” Start in Introductions or First Cast Q&A.

Profiles, photos and messages

Your display name, public profile and forum contributions can be read by visitors. Use a nickname if you prefer. Keep home addresses, phone numbers, travel plans and precise private fishing spots out of public posts and photos. Forum photos and profile images are user submissions; check what is visible before posting.

Direct messages are for signed-in members. They are stored by the site and may be reviewed for moderation; do not treat them as an end-to-end encrypted channel. You can report a message for administrator review. For account or content requests, contact IntlBass.

Moderation

New members’ first two posts enter review. Spam or abusive material may be removed and accounts may be restricted. A rank reflects community activity, not a professional qualification or verification of fishing claims.
